Severn Teackle Wallis was a Baltimore lawyer, politician, and writer. He was born in Baltimore, Sept. 8, 1816 and was graduated from St. Mary's College in 1832. He completed his study of the law in 1837 and practiced successfully in Baltimore. Wallis was an active participant in the political and cultural life of the city.
